Calls to cut SA gaming machines

AN independent gaming body today recommended
reducing the number of gaming machines in South Australia by 20 per
cent.
If the recommendation was accepted, SA would reduce its gaming machine
numbers to 12,000 from the current 15,000.
SA Gambling Minister Jay Weatherill said the recommendation,
contained in a report of the Independent Gambling Authority, would be
presented to state cabinet next year.
