Online Casino Link on Cereal CD
KELLOGGS Australia has investigated a
CD-ROM it has been giving away in breakfast cereals that reportedly
contained a link to an online casino.
South Australian politician Nick Xenophon today called for Kellogg’s to
withdraw the CD-ROM game Moto Racer 3 contained in Nutri-Grain packs a
year ago.
But Kellogg’s Australia said it had investigated the CD-ROM after
becoming aware an option in the installation of the game’s multi-player
capacity offered a link to an online casino.
"After a thorough investigation by independent IT professionals, we
established that the link did not work and did not contain the casino’s
web address," the company said in a statement today.
"The Moto Racer 3 CD-ROM game is the only Kellogg’s promotional CD
that had the casino reference.
