Capri Casinos Moves Things Around in Mississippi
In a move that may or may not be related to Hurricane Katrina, Isle of Capri
Casinos has bestowed a new Vice President of its Isle of Capri-Lula Casino in
Mississippi. The new VP is Jose Oakley, who has been with the company for
over ten years, and has served as the casino floor shift manager at the Bossier
City Casino in Louisiana. He also has job-related experience while
spending time working in Atlantic City.
Isle of Capri did not state why the move took place, and how or when the
position at Lula became vacant. A press release was made, and business
seemed to be going on as usual at all of the casinos managed by Capri.
Overall, the company runs fifteen casinos in thirteen different locales,
including many riverboat casinos.
In addition to casinos in Lula and Bossier City, Isle of Capri has two
riverboat casino on Lake Charles, Iowa, Davenport, Kansas City, Florida (harness
racing), Colorado, Boonville, the Bahamas, as well as riverboat casinos in
Louisiana and Vicksburg, Mississippi. They also partly own several casinos
in the U.K. It seems the company will opt to keep its Louisiana and
Mississippi casinos in operation, which is good news for the Gulf region’s
economy. Isle of Capri does have a website online, which potential
investors can peruse for stock information. They are a strong gambling
company that has proven themselves very successful at building up and operating
casinos throughout the world.
